Bathroom Details

No need to explain how to use the bathroom. Feel free to use any soap you find there, bring your own. This applies to any other cosmetics stuff you encounter. We have just a few hints regarding this room.

Washing Machine

Standard washing machine, handling up to 6kg of clothes. Ideally remove any sand from the clothes or towels before putting them in. The machine and its pump generally hate dealing with sand. The dryer is purely mechanical, wind and sun-powered, and works best when put on the balcony, where you will typically find it.

The Boiler

The boiler makes you hot water. It is switched on all the time, and does not require any maintenance at all. If you want to double-check, the switched-on state looks similar to this:

There should be enough hot water for the shower for a 4-person family. Unless you have kids, who tend to forget themselves and use all the water before you. Then it is time to watch some of the Wim Hoff videos and train for the ice bucket challenge. Or wait a few hours.

The Shower

The shower works as you would expect. There is one catch, however. The water may go away very slowly. In such an unfortunate case of a clogged drain, and if you are skilled enough, there is an easy fix.

Remove the metal cover, using a kitchen knife, or a screwdriver (see section: TBD). Don't worry to put some pressure on it. Optionally remove also the plastic grid if needed. Dispose of the hair or any waste there, put the metal cover back, and you should be fine for the rest of your stay—unless you shower with your dog, or generally lose an unusual amount of body hair. This operation requires some courage, and if you don't feel like it, just call the agency and they should fix it.
