The Bus

In the city of Durres, there is public transport by bus available. Do not expect any exact timetable. What you need to do is simply locate the bus station and wait for the bus to arrive. There are several bus lines. The closest to the apartment is realized by red buses, called "Plepa Via Plazh". The bus stop is located at the crossing of the Rruga Brindisi (it is where you stay) and Rruga Pavaresi (the main street). The bus arrives roughly every 15-20 minutes and will take you to the city center to Plepa Bus station, at the end of the Rruga Pavaresi.

The cost is 40 Lek per person. You don't need to buy a ticket. Enter the bus and wait for a ticket seller to approach you. Be ready to have roughly the expected amount.

Pro tip: At the last bus stop, in the center, you may experience a little bit of a shock. People are not used to waiting for travelers to get off the bus first, and you may need to fight your way out of the bus. But no worries, it is not dangerous.

Bike Rental
